Going Beyond 1935 - More to the Story This page will take us beyond the writing and the publishing of The Urantia Book . There are some that will find this page hard to take. But it is the conviction that revelation does not stop with the publishing of the book, that there is much more to explore. The links on this page will take you to some of those other websites, but there are many more. I have tried to limit the links to those that I have confidence in and are, to me, worth the study. How often have you noticed the numbers 11:11, 12:12, 10:10, 22:22, 12:34, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44 or 5:55 popping up all over the place? These number sequences are not necessarily only time prompts. They can also be number sequences, like 333, 1111 etc. To your mind, is this a coincidence, or are they too frequent to be random? Perhaps you are puzzled or amused by this phenomenon? Possibly even a little bit nervous? The question everyone is asking is "What does 11:11 mean?" and "Is there a reason for this?" And there certainly is. The Teaching Mission: Dialogues The Teaching Mission : Dialogues are textual artefacts of oral lessons given by Ascending and Descending teachers of various orders of universe intelligence and the ensuing discussion with their mortal students of widely varying backgrounds. • Philosophy, sociology, & human nature | The Urantia Book Stu

Philosophy, Sociology, & Human Nature This is a sampling of some of the most interesting books I have read over the recent years. The reason I put induced in this website is that I believe it is wise to have a larger understanding of aspects of human life that are impacted by the concepts laid out in The Urantia Book . The works of John Rawls “A milestone in political and moral philosophy, as groundbreaking as the theories of Bentham and Kant and arguably the most important and influential piece of contemporary philosophy of the last century.” ―The Guardian The principles of justice that Rawls set forth in this book are those that free and rational people would accept in an “original position” of equality. In this hypothetical situation, which corresponds to the state of nature in social contract theory, no one knows their place in society; their class or social status; their fortune in the distribution of natural assets and abilities―their intelligence, strength, and the like―or even their conception of the good. Deliberating behind this “veil of ignorance,” people naturally determine their proper rights and duties. Thus, as Rawls writes, “each person possesses an inviolability founded on justice that even the welfare of society as a whole cannot override.” Incorporating the ideas of Rousseau, Kant, Emerson, and Lincoln, Rawls’s theory is as powerful today as it was when first published in 1971. For more than half a century, A Theory of Justice has been taught and debated, celebrated and translated into more than thirty languages. This revised edition includes changes, discussed in the preface, that Rawls considered to be significant, especially to the discussions of liberty and primary social goods. A Theory of Justice The Law of Peoples: With “The Idea of Public Reason Revisited” “The Law of Peoples” extends the idea of a social contract to the Society of Peoples and lays out the general principles that can and should be accepted by both liberal and non-liberal societies as the standard for regulating their behavior toward one another. In particular, it draws a crucial distinction between basic human rights and the rights of each citizen of a liberal constitutional democracy. It explores the terms under which such a society may appropriately wage war against an “outlaw society” and discusses the moral grounds for rendering assistance to non-liberal societies burdened by unfavorable political and economic conditions. “The Idea of Public Reason Revisited” explains why the constraints of public reason, a concept first discussed in Political Liberalism (1993), are ones that holders of both religious and non-religious comprehensive views can reasonably endorse. It is Rawls’s most detailed account of how a modern constitutional democracy, based on a liberal political conception, could and would be viewed as legitimate by reasonable citizens who on religious, philosophical, or moral grounds do not themselves accept a liberal comprehensive doctrine―such as that of Kant, or Mill, or Rawls’s own “Justice as Fairness,” presented in A Theory of Justice (1971). The works of Nassim Nicholas Taleb A black swan is a highly improbable event with three principal characteristics: It is unpredictable; it carries a massive impact; and, after the fact, we concoct an explanation that makes it appear less random, and more predictable, than it was. The astonishing success of Google was a black swan; so was 9/11. For Nassim Nicholas Taleb, black swans underlie almost everything about our world, from the rise of religions to events in our own personal lives. Why do we not acknowledge the phenomenon of black swans until after they occur? Part of the answer, according to Taleb, is that humans are hardwired to learn specifics when they should be focused on generalities. We concentrate on things we already know and time and time again fail to take into consideration what we don’t know. We are, therefore, unable to truly estimate opportunities, too vulnerable to the impulse to simplify, narrate, and categorize, and not open enough to rewarding those who can imagine the “impossible.” For years, Taleb has studied how we fool ourselves into thinking we know more than we actually do. We restrict our thinking to the irrelevant and inconsequential, while large events continue to surprise us and shape our world. In this revelatory book, Taleb will change the way you look at the world, and this second edition features a new philosophical and empirical essay, “On Robustness and Fragility,” which offers tools to navigate and exploit a Black Swan world. Taleb is a vastly entertaining writer, with wit, irreverence, and unusual stories to tell. He has a polymathic command of subjects ranging from cognitive science to business to probability theory. Elegant, startling, and universal in its applications, The Black Swan is a landmark book—itself a black swan. "Mr. Taleb is the author of the Incerto (latin for uncertainty), which include the books; Skin in the Game, Antifragile, The Black Swan, The Bed of Procrustes, and Fooled by Randomness)plus a technical version, The Technical Incerto (Statistical Consequences of Fat Tails). Taleb has also published close to 55 academic and scholarly papers as a backup, technical footnotes to the Incerto in topics ranging from Statistical Physics and Quantitative Finance to Genetics and International affairs. The Incerto has more than 250 translations in 50 languages." Just as human bones get stronger when subjected to stress and tension, and rumors or riots intensify when someone tries to repress them, many things in life benefit from stress, disorder, volatility, and turmoil. What Taleb has identified and calls “antifragile” is that category of things that not only gain from chaos but need it in order to survive and flourish. In The Black Swan, Taleb showed us that highly improbable and unpredictable events underlie almost everything about our world. In Antifragile, Taleb stands uncertainty on its head, making it desirable, even necessary, and proposes that things be built in an antifragile manner. The antifragile is beyond the resilient or robust. The resilient resists shocks and stays the same; the antifragile gets better and better. Furthermore, the antifragile is immune to prediction errors and protected from adverse events. Why is the city-state better than the nation-state, why is debt bad for you, and why is what we call “efficient” not efficient at all? Why do government responses and social policies protect the strong and hurt the weak? Why should you write your resignation letter before even starting on the job? How did the sinking of the Titanic save lives? The book spans innovation by trial and error, life decisions, politics, urban planning, war, personal finance, economic systems, and medicine. And throughout, in addition to the street wisdom of Fat Tony of Brooklyn, the voices and recipes of ancient wisdom, from Roman, Greek, Semitic, and medieval sources, are loud and clear. Antifragile is a blueprint for living in a Black Swan world. The Black Swan is Taleb's most popular book. This book is about luck–or more precisely, about how we perceive and deal with luck in life and business. Set against the backdrop of the most conspicuous forum in which luck is mistaken for skill–the world of trading–Fooled by Randomness provides captivating insight into one of the least understood factors in all our lives. Writing in an entertaining narrative style, the author tackles major intellectual issues related to the underestimation of the influence of happenstance on our lives. The book is populated with an array of characters, some of whom have grasped, in their own way, the significance of chance: the baseball legend Yogi Berra; the philosopher of knowledge Karl Popper; the ancient world’s wisest man, Solon; the modern financier George Soros; and the Greek voyager Odysseus. We also meet the fictional Nero, who seems to understand the role of randomness in his professional life but falls victim to his own superstitious foolishness. However, the most recognizable character of all remains unnamed–the lucky fool who happens to be in the right place at the right time–he embodies the “survival of the least fit.” Such individuals attract devoted followers who believe in their guru’s insights and methods. But no one can replicate what is obtained by chance. Are we capable of distinguishing the fortunate charlatan from the genuine visionary? Must we always try to uncover nonexistent messages in random events? It may be impossible to guard ourselves against the vagaries of the goddess Fortuna, but after reading Fooled by Randomness we can be a little better prepared. In his most provocative and practical book yet,one of the foremost thinkers of our time redefines what it means to understand the world, succeed in a profession, contribute to a fair and just society, detect nonsense, and influence others. Citing examples ranging from Hammurabi to Seneca, Antaeus the Giant to Donald Trump, Nassim Nicholas Taleb shows how the willingness to accept one’s own risks is an essential attribute of heroes, saints, and flourishing people in all walks of life. As always both accessible and iconoclastic, Taleb challenges long-held beliefs about the values of those who spearhead military interventions, make financial investments, and propagate religious faiths. Among his insights: • For social justice, focus on symmetry and risk sharing. You cannot make profits and transfer the risks to others, as bankers and large corporations do. You cannot get rich without owning your own risk and paying for your own losses. Forcing skin in the game corrects this asymmetry better than thousands of laws and regulations. • Ethical rules aren’t universal. You’re part of a group larger than you, but it’s still smaller than humanity in general. • Minorities, not majorities, run the world. The world is not run by consensus but by stubborn minorities imposing their tastes and ethics on others. • You can be an intellectual yet still be an idiot. “Educated philistines” have been wrong on everything from Stalinism to Iraq to low-carb diets. • Beware of complicated solutions (that someone was paid to find). A simple barbell can build muscle better than expensive new machines. • True religion is commitment, not just faith. How much you believe in something is manifested only by what you’re willing to risk for it. The phrase “skin in the game” is one we have often heard but rarely stopped to truly dissect. It is the backbone of risk management, but it’s also an astonishingly rich worldview that, as Taleb shows in this book, applies to all aspects of our lives. As Taleb says, “The symmetry of skin in the game is a simple rule that’s necessary for fairness and justice, and the ultimate BS-buster,” and “Never trust anyone who doesn’t have skin in the game. Without it, fools and crooks will benefit, and their mistakes will never come back to haunt them.” Daniel Kahneman and others Thinking, Fast and Slow System 1 is fast, intuitive, and emotional; System 2 is slower, more deliberative, and more logical. The impact of overconfidence on corporate strategies, the difficulties of predicting what will make us happy in the future, the profound effect of cognitive biases on everything from playing the stock market to planning our next vacation―each of these can be understood only by knowing how the two systems shape our judgments and decisions. Engaging the reader in a lively conversation about how we think, Kahneman reveals where we can and cannot trust our intuitions and how we can tap into the benefits of slow thinking. He offers practical and enlightening insights into how choices are made in both our business and our personal lives―and how we can use different techniques to guard against the mental glitches that often get us into trouble. Topping bestseller lists for almost ten years, Thinking, Fast and Slow is a contemporary classic, an essential book that has changed the lives of millions of readers. Noise: A Flaw in Human Judgment Imagine that two doctors in the same city give different diagnoses to identical patients—or that two judges in the same courthouse give markedly different sentences to people who have committed the same crime. Suppose that different interviewers at the same firm make different decisions about indistinguishable job applicants—or that when a company is handling customer complaints, the resolution depends on who happens to answer the phone. Now imagine that the same doctor, the same judge, the same interviewer, or the same customer service agent makes different decisions depending on whether it is morning or afternoon, or Monday rather than Wednesday. These are examples of noise: variability in judgments that should be identical. In Noise, Daniel Kahneman, Olivier Sibony, and Cass R. Sunstein show the detrimental effects of noise in many fields, including medicine, law, economic forecasting, forensic science, bail, child protection, strategy, performance reviews, and personnel selection. Wherever there is judgment, there is noise. Yet, most of the time, individuals and organizations alike are unaware of it. They neglect noise. With a few simple remedies, people can reduce both noise and bias, and so make far better decisions. Adam Grant Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In our daily lives, too many of us favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt. We listen to opinions that make us feel good, instead of ideas that make us think hard. We see disagreement as a threat to our egos, rather than an opportunity to learn. We surround ourselves with people who agree with our conclusions, when we should be gravitating toward those who challenge our thought process. The result is that our beliefs get brittle long before our bones. We think too much like preachers defending our sacred beliefs, prosecutors proving the other side wrong, and politicians campaigning for approval--and too little like scientists searching for truth. Intelligence is no cure, and it can even be a curse: being good at thinking can make us worse at rethinking. The brighter we are, the blinder to our own limitations we can become. Organizational psychologist Adam Grant is an expert on opening other people's minds--and our own. As Wharton's top-rated professor and the bestselling author of Originals and Give and Take, he makes it one of his guiding principles to argue like he's right but listen like he's wrong. With bold ideas and rigorous evidence, he investigates how we can embrace the joy of being wrong, bring nuance to charged conversations, and build schools, workplaces, and communities of lifelong learners. You'll learn how an international debate champion wins arguments, a Black musician persuades white supremacists to abandon hate, a vaccine whisperer convinces concerned parents to immunize their children, and Adam has coaxed Yankees fans to root for the Red Sox. Think Again reveals that we don't have to believe everything we think or internalize everything we feel. It's an invitation to let go of views that are no longer serving us well and prize mental flexibility over foolish consistency. If knowledge is power, knowing what we don't know is wisdom.

  • More UB-related books 2 | The Urantia Book Stu

More UB-related Books that are Worth Reading 2 The works of Timothy Wyllie This late author co-wrote a series of books that begin with the Lucifer Rebellion. His co-author is Gloria, once an angel of the rebellion that tells us two stories: one is the story of Timothy; the other is her story of her journey from the rebellion forward. Great reads and insights . As recorded in The Urantia Book, two hundred millennia ago 37 planets, including our own, were quarantined from the rest of the Multiverse to quell the spread of the Lucifer rebellion within the angelic hierarchy. Now, after eons of isolation, the fallen angels have been forgiven and Earth’s connection with the Multiverse is being restored, initiating a massive transformation of consciousness as we reconnect with angelic guides, extraterrestrial beings, and our spiritual heritage as sacred vessels for God’s presence. Providing an update to The Urantia Book through angelic transmissions he has received and remarkable spirits he has met, Timothy Wyllie investigates the underlying motives of the angelic rebellion and the impact it has had on our planet for the past 200,000 years. Offering a profoundly optimistic vision of the future and reassurance that the coming spiritual transition will be gentle, Timothy Wyllie describes his encounters with angels, ETs, and other enlightened beings around the world, including how he made contact with his own guardian angels, met the man who may have been Grand Master of the Prieure de Zion, fell in love with a beautiful Cathar reincarnate in Provence, and officiated at the 1981 Conference in Spirit inside the Great Pyramid of Giza. He explores different planetary cosmologies, authentic extraterrestrial intelligence, entheogenic revelations, and the spiritual implications of the Holographic Paradigm, weaving together a coherent and provocative understanding of the current state of our planet within the larger context of a benevolent and caring Multiverse. Hydrolena Speaks: The History of Urantia as told by a senior life Carrier: Where we came from, How we got here, and What is out Destiney? "Hydrolena Speaks is the cosmic story of life on our world, told not from a pulpit or podium, but through the warm, wise voice of a senior Life Carrier. Hydrolena herself is not a character from The Urantia Book, but a narrative figure modeled after the Life Carriers who play a prominent role within it. Delivered with grandmotherly affection, she has watched worlds bloom and civilizations rise. In twelve luminous chapters, she invites you to sit by eternity’s fireside and listen as the river of life tells its tale—from the first spark of existence to the ultimate reunion with the Source of creation. Drawing faithfully from The Urantia Book and illuminated by Hydroviews—insights grounded in science, nature, and spiritual intuition—this book distills vast cosmology into a story you can feel, follow, and understand. It is not theology in heavy robes, but a conversation in flowing water—simple enough for seekers, profound enough for scholars. You’ll travel from the Architects of Life and the cosmic selection of our world as a decimal planet, to the miracle of crystalline (EZ) water, the fourth phase that served as the medium for life’s first awakening. You’ll discover the seven living currents of mind, the adjutant mind-spirits that parallel the chakras and guide human evolution from instinct to wisdom. "You’ll witness how free will—the greatest gift and greatest gamble—led to rebellion, default, and the patient repair of divine mercy. You’ll meet Michael of Nebadon, the Creator Son who became Jesus of Nazareth, choosing this very world to prove that love is stronger than pride, that freedom without loyalty is ruin, and that faith can calm any storm. "Through Hydrolena’s gentle narration, you’ll come to understand the soul as a living vessel co-crafted with a fragment of the Father Himself—the Thought Adjuster—and see death not as an ending but as the widening of the river into the Mansion Worlds, the next stage of eternal life. "Your journey continues across the universes of Nebadon, through Havona’s perfect worlds, and finally to Paradise—the Source and the Sea where every stream returns to its beginning. Along the way, Hydrolena points toward what lies ahead for our planet, urging us to choose wisely at today’s delta: to balance rights, responsibilities, and love so future generations may drink from sweeter waters. "Each page of Hydrolena Speaks carries the rhythm of revelation and the humility of science, weaving the teachings of The Urantia Book into language anyone can grasp. It is poetic and precise, playful and profound—a book for readers who sense that spirituality and science are not opposing shores but reflections of the same vast ocean. "Whether you are new to The Urantia Book or have studied it for years, this is the story you’ve longed for: a compassionate, coherent, and captivating retelling of our cosmic heritage and destiny. "So come—sit beside the river, open the book, or listen to Hydrolena’s voice. However you join her, by page or by sound, the currents of creation call you to remember where you came from, why you are here, and the sea toward which you are flowing." The Adventure of Being Human I: Lessons on Soulful Living from the Heart of the Urantia Revelation "Amplifying the core spiritual teachings of The Urantia Book--a unique and thrilling revelatory book first published in 1955--this guide introduces the two central deity-personalities of the Urantia revelation: Christ Michael--Jesus--and his feminine, coequal consort, Mother Spirit. As the study relates, these two deities maintain intimate contact with their sons and daughters, demonstrating their love through an unprecedented series of teachings. In one short volume, this compilation chronicles Jesus' own awe-inspiring lessons--updated for the 21st century--along with essential introductory and background materials. The wisdom provided here offers heartfelt instructions on the art of living, making a challenging cosmological reference concise and accessible." The Adventure of Being Human II Books by Jerry Lane Also now available: The Work of Daniel Raphael, Ph.D. Daniel Raphael offers guidance for returning the social aspect to sustainability in our global civilization. He explains that the proliferation of corporate policies which place profit over planetary protection means that our world is not being cared for in a sustainable way. If there is little hope that we can fix these problems ourselves, perhaps we may need some celestial guidance to help heal our broken world. Daniel Raphael Ph.D., author of Healing a Broken World, is an intuitive and clairvoyant who enjoys conscious clairaudient conversations with celestial beings. He is a holistic life coach, spiritual counselor, and spiritual team facilitator who has taught numerous classes and workshops worldwide related to the Urantia Revelation. Raphael holds a BS in Sociology, an MS in Education, and a Ph.D. in Metaphysics. See him in this interview with Regina Meredith. "Social Sustainability HANDBOOK for Community-Builders clearly describes the two sub-divisions of sustainability. Material sustainability is quantity-object based. Social Sustainability.is quality-value based. Material sustainability is improved by increasing the quantity available while decreasing usage, reusing, recycling and re-purposing material resources. Social sustainability is improved by improving the individual's ability to participate more effectively in their community, which increases their value to their community. Individuals are seen as "social assets". "The fundamental values that have sustained our species for over 250,000 years include our urge to improve our quality of life, to grow into our innate potential to do so, and to grow and achieve an improving quality of life equally as anyone else would or could. When we apply those same values to the decisions we make as communities, we begin to build sustainable communities. Now, apply that to strategic planning and policy development for all organizations. When that occurs, then organizations and the societies that organizations support also begin to take on the character and social responsibilities of social sustainability. "This is truly a HANDBOOK. Dr. Raphael provides a decision-making process for examining the design of sustainable organizations, social processes and social policies in a unique "Design Team Process." The Team is composed of 5 - 11 members with four specific roles that create a synergism as the Members work through the "Schematic for Social Sustainability." "An Internet search for references and descriptions of social sustainability will come up short for this almost totally new topic of social research. It is fortunate that the three core values of social sustainability came to Dr. Raphael in an "Ah-ha!" moment in 2007, and that he used develop in this brief book. Contemplative readers will discover in their own reflective time that these three values are capable of finally answer the "Why?" question of peace as easily as they can be used to answer the "Why?" question of education." Civilizations come and go on the face of the earth, and some rise to great heights, but all of them eventually fail. But what if we could build cultures and civilizations that thrive, not just for a few centuries, but into the far distant future? According to Healing a Broken World: The Grassroots Guide to a Socially Sustainable Future (Origin Press, 2013), we can now co-create such a world with the help of spiritual guidance. The radical claim of this unprecedented manual is that if spiritualized citizens are given the right tools for creating new institutional designs—and if these designs are based on social sustainability principles—then we have a real hope of building an enlightened society that will never collapse. Healing a Broken World is a brief guide for far-seeing citizens interested in long-term solutions, not short-term fixes provided by self-interested politicians and lobbyists. The core purpose of the book is to explain how to organize a social sustainability design team (SSDT). Each team’s design is made available worldwide for validation and deployment by other teams, along the lines of today’s “open source” movement. Introducing the Core Values of Socially Sustainable Design The core values are: qualityof life (life), equality, and growth. The authors, who work closely with celestial helpers, show that these three are the minimum set of principles necessary to support social sustainability in any human institution, provided that they appear simultaneously. Healing a Broken World argues that these three principles are synergetic, irreducible, and ultimately irrefutable. “Social sustainability emerges,” says author Daniel Raphael “when citizens fully understand these three core values and consciously live to fulfill them through their social organizations, beginning with the family and extending to every sort of institution.” Socially sustainable designs are scalable downwards to individuals and their families, or upwards to much larger institutions. Once created, documented, validated, and archived, such new designs can, by definition, be refined and replicated anywhere—in any culture or nation—by similarly trained local teams. The Structured Work of the Social Design Teams Social sustainability design work involves small, specialized, highly motivated teamswhose members carry out one of fouressential roles. Each team first chooses an institution that needs reform. Next, it engages in a disciplined inquiry process that leads them to a fullawareness of their assumptions and beliefs. Then, using these and other tools, the designteam writes a new template, incorporating into theirdesign those features that embody the three core values of social sustainability. Each design must provide for ways for measuring the outcome of its implementation. Healing a Broken World also introduces the optional use of celestial guidance to support this vital work. The book’s original impulse comes from celestial sources related to The Urantia Book, which is believed to be an epochal revelation to humankind. What Actually “Causes” Sustainability? “Social sustainability is more inclusive than environmental sustainability,” said co-writer Byron Belitsos. “The approach of social sustainability looks to people themselves and the institutions we create as the basic resource for creating a sustainable civilization. Think of social sustainability as a cause and environmental sustainability and other worthy goals as an effect. The sphere of social sustainability is the primary agent of real change—that is, if our goal is to create a permanently thriving world.”

  • The Urantia Book and the Bible | The Urantia Book Stu

The Urantia Book and the Bible One way to look at The Urantia Book is as a key to a more complete understanding the Bible. For example On Adam and Eve: Who were Adam and Eve? What really happened to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Evil? Was there a tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Where was the Garden of Eden and how did it get its name? What was the purpose of Eden? What happened to Adam and Eve? Why did Cain kill Abel and what happened to Cain? On Lucifer, Satan and the devil: Who were Lucifer and Satan (the “fallen angels”)? What happened to them? Who was the Devil and is he still around today? Did you know... Did you know there were two Garden of Edens? Did you know that Jesus’ 40 days of the temptations preceded his baptism? Did you now that of the first four Gospels, only two were “authored” by Apostles of Jesus? Did you know that most of our Christian teachings come from Jewish laws and customs? Did you that most religions recognize an aspect of God within each person? Did you know that the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Truth (the Comforter) are two different entities? On Jesus: What did Jesus mean when he told us “the Kingdom of Heaven is within…”? What Jesus really did after his Baptism. Who was the “voice in the garden” that told Mary she was to have a child? Was Mary Magdalene a woman of ill repute or not? How did Jesus turn water to wine at the wedding in Cana? How and Jesus feed 5000 people with only two fishes and 5 loaves of bread? What was the original version of the Lord’s Prayer? Was does “being born of the spirit” mean? Did “touching the hem” of Jesus coat cause the woman to be healed? Why did Judas betray Jesus and what happened to him? Where was Jesus crucified and “buried”? How many times did Jesus appear to people after his resurrection? What are the many mansions Jesus refers to? Other thoughts to explore: Who was Mark, the author of The Gospel of Mark? Who was this Melchezedek, the teacher of Abraham, and where did he come from? What are angels really, and where do they come from? Check out the "Humor" page too!

  • Living according to The Urantia Book | The Urantia Book Stu

How to live according to The Urantia Book What a great question! I am glad I asked.... How should a person live their life according to The Urantia Book teachings? Perhaps “should” is too strong. It falls into the negative arena of commandments, such as “thou shalt not do such and such.” Shoulda, woulda, coulda. How about I come up with a new approach? Something like “Live and love your life in the spirit of The Urantia Book teachings”? Then move on from there. The Urantia Book provides a comprehensive way to look at ourselves and the Universe. It does so from the reverse perspective, from the Universe to ourselves. For those interested in the largest picture of existence, there are literally thousands of lessons to glean from the text, thousands of word pictures that, with deep contemplation, will lead to new insights, all of which are very beneficial to living a better life, an eternal life, than what we conceived of before we found The Urantia Book . Since this assignment references Paper 56, Universal Unity , I will take my example from it – the largest perspective – after I speak to the opposite end of the teaching, the life that Jesus gave as our example of how to live the best life we can, whether it is here or as we move on. Some of the simplest things Jesus taught me were that we must “ask, seek, and knock,” a lesson the Contact Commission learned from the Revelators early on. Without asking, there is no answer; without seeking, there is nothing to find; and without knocking, no doors will be opened for you. Although Jesus said, “Your Father knows what you have need of even before you ask him,” that does not suggest you don’t need to ask. 1, 2 Next, each parable has a lesson, sometimes several – planting seeds is one such lesson. 3 Jesus advised each of his Apostles to carefully teach using tools that would most match the levels of understanding that their audiences could handle. 4 Jesus’s lectures while traveling around the Mediterranean offer us incredible insight into how to handle the material aspects of our existence. One that comes to mind is his insights into how to handle money. 5 But the most significant of Jesus' teachings always concerned how a person should treat another person. He loved everyone. He set examples regarding caring for the “least” of the people, the poor, the sick and lame, those who were different or looked down upon. His concern was for all people, that each one was a child of God, all equal in God’s eyes. Unfortunately, his teachings are not regarded as significant by many so-called Christians today; his words and deeds are being distorted to make the opposite point. 6 Moving back into Paper 56, Universal Unity, I have chosen for my Trimester Project for week 10 the subject of the Unification of the Universes and the Integration of All. This is a subject I came to several months ago while trying to explain how everything in the Universe is tied together, that nothing is really separate except that we choose to see it that way and think of it that way. The basic thesis is from the first paragraph of Paper 56: “The universe of universes is one vast integrated mechanism which is absolutely controlled by one infinite mind. The physical, intellectual, and spiritual domains of universal creation are divinely correlated. The perfect and imperfect are truly interrelated….” 7 I next approached the topic by starting with John 1:1 and moving on from there. But the real meat of the topic is found in Paper 56. Throughout Paper 56, the statement of a Mighty Messenger with an assist from Maciventa Melchizedek. I chose the four qualities of Universe composition that we, as perfecting mortals, are most known to us – material, intelligence, spiritual, and personality – and they have been shown to be unified and integrated with each other. I make it clear that we have within us a fragment of the very God himself. And when Jesus told his Apostles he would send them a Comforter when he left them, he did. And that our Holy Spirit, also with us always, provides us with seven spirits that help us grow intellectually throughout our lives. And we have two guardian angels with us at all times. That is who we are, each of us. I make these things clear to me as well, a constant reminder of the blessings each of us has been gifted. In addition, the qualities that comprise the summation of the concepts of truth, beauty, and goodness best explain the integration of these highest concepts, which unify the mysteries and the mastery of the universe, and each of our roles in it. This is how I attempt to explain to others how to live the best life we can in this world and going forward. That all space, time, eternity, and infinity are integrated in all things. What we do, think, and dream is a part of a glorious, endless spiralling adventure in eternal time and infinite space. Who we love – and it must include all life and all personalities – we will love forever. There is no stopping now; regardless of what happens, we are in God’s hands, and we come to really know that God is love. And Love is the greatest gift of all. The real clincher for me is this: While we each think we have free will, it is relative. It is relative to how we go about integrating our God-given attributes of spirit, mind, personality, and – yes – our bodies toward our true selves. If we falter in our efforts, our souls may suffer. We are not free to do or be anyone. There is a Law. God is that Law. We read in 48:6.33: “Law is life itself and not the rules of its conduct. Evil is a transgression of law, not a violation of the rules of conduct pertaining to life, which is the law.” This tells me that regardless of what different paths we want to be on, we will always end up where we need to be. “One God, many paths.” The unification and integration of all we are and what we do are a part of the unity of the Universe. Ultimately, we are one with God. There is no way around it. Can I get an “Amen”? Footnotes: UB 144:2.3 “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. • Science Today | The Urantia Book Stu

Science Today Finding Connections at Every Turn In the last century, we have seen the discovery and exploration of Quantum Physics and, more recently, concepts of Quantum Consciousness. Some of the writings and links in this section relate to those ideas. Beyond that, it appears to me and many others that other strange things are happening more and more. Examples include increased sightings of UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena) or UFOs, recent writings and communications about the Kordylewski plasma clouds, extraterrestrials, and discoveries from remote-viewing exercises, to name a few. I have placed in this section links to many of these issues. I am certain more will follow. I have also included new discoveries in the life of plants. Also some of the older, but still very important and insightful discoveries brilliant minds, such as Dr. David Hawkins, the Inventiveness of Slim Spurling and his Light-Life Tools and Light-Life Technologies, a beautiful book on cosmometry, and areas of science that I think are very important today. Now it is falling apart as a theory. Here is a wonderful book that does the deed. And my essay on the subject. Return of the God Hypothesis: Three Scientific Discoveries That Reveal the Mind Behind the Universe —Breakthroughs in Physics, Cosmology, and Biology Seeking Evidence for the Existence of God "Beginning in the late 19th century, many intellectuals began to insist that scientific knowledge conflicts with traditional theistic belief—that science and belief in God are “at war.” Philosopher of science Stephen Meyer challenges this view by examining three scientific discoveries with decidedly theistic implications. Building on the case for the intelligent design of life that he developed in Signature in the Cell and Darwin’s Doubt, Meyer demonstrates how discoveries in cosmology and physics coupled with those in biology help to establish the identity of the designing intelligence behind life and the universe. "Meyer argues that theism—with its affirmation of a transcendent, intelligent and active creator—best explains the evidence we have concerning biological and cosmological origins. Previously Meyer refrained from attempting to answer questions about “who” might have designed life. Now he provides an evidence-based answer to perhaps the ultimate mystery of the universe. In so doing, he reveals a stunning conclusion: the data support not just the existence of an intelligent designer of some kind—but the existence of a personal God." • Who is Jesus? | The Urantia Book Stu

Who is Jesus? To "follow Jesus" means to personally share his religious faith and to enter into the spirit of the Master's life of unselfish service for man. One of the most important things in human living is to find out what Jesus believed, to discover his ideals, and to strive for the achievement of his exalted life purpose. Of all human knowledge, that which is of greatest value is to know the religious life of Jesus and how he lived it. ~ The Urantia Book, 196:1.3 "As Jesus Passed By" Jesus spread good cheer everywhere he went. He was full of grace and truth. His associates never ceased to wonder at the gracious words that proceeded out of his mouth. You can cultivate gracefulness, but graciousness is the aroma of friendliness which emanates from a love-saturated soul. Goodness always compels respect, but when it is devoid of grace, it often repels affection. Goodness is universally attractive only when it is gracious. Goodness is effective only when it is attractive. Jesus really understood men; therefore could he manifest genuine sympathy and show sincere compassion. But he seldom indulged in pity. While his compassion was boundless, his sympathy was practical, personal, and constructive. Never did his familiarity with suffering breed indifference, and he was able to minister to distressed souls without increasing their self-pity. Jesus could help men so much because he loved them so sincerely. He truly loved each man, each woman, and each child. He could be such a true friend because of his remarkable insight—he knew so fully what was in the heart and in the mind of man. He was an interested and keen observer. He was an expert in the comprehension of human need, clever in detecting human longings. Jesus was never in a hurry. He had time to comfort his fellow men "as he passed by." And he always made his friends feel at ease. He was a charming listener. He never engaged in the meddlesome probing of the souls of his associates. As he comforted hungry minds and ministered to thirsty souls, the recipients of his mercy did not so much feel that they were confessing to him as that they were conferring with him. They had unbounded confidence in him because they saw he had so much faith in them. He never seemed to be curious about people, and he never manifested a desire to direct, manage, or follow them up. He inspired profound self-confidence and robust courage in all who enjoyed his association. When he smiled on a man, that mortal experienced increased capacity for solving his manifold problems. Jesus loved men so much and so wisely that he never hesitated to be severe with them when the occasion demanded such discipline. He frequently set out to help a person by asking for help. In this way he elicited interest, appealed to the better things in human nature. The Master could discern saving faith in the gross superstition of the woman who sought healing by touching the hem of his garment. He was always ready and willing to stop a sermon or detain a multitude while he ministered to the needs of a single person, even to a little child. Great things happened not only because people had faith in Jesus, but also because Jesus had so much faith in them. Most of the really important things which Jesus said or did seemed to happen casually, "as he passed by." There was so little of the professional, the well-planned, or the premeditated in the Master's earthly ministry. He dispensed health and scattered happiness naturally and gracefully as he journeyed through life. It was literally true, "He went about doing good." And it behooves the Master's followers in all ages to learn to minister as "they pass by"—to do unselfish good as they go about their daily duties. ~ The Urantia Book, 171:7.0 From Truthbook - A Character Study of Jesus See more from this page in Truthbook. Many of these historical stories are familiar to readers of the New Testament but dozens are new, including the missing years not found in the Bible. Here you discover Jesus presented as never before, both as divine Son and human hero whose matchless life inspires, comforts, and transforms you. It is beautifully written in modern, page-turning prose and complemented with 106 paintings from 35 renowned artists, including 42 originally commissioned works you will see for the first time. The paintings run the gamut of fine art celebrating the life of Christ, both classic and modern. These artists poured their souls into these portraits of higher spiritual reality. Our deep appreciation and humble gratitude go out to each one of them. These paintings illustrate Jesus’ life journey from his humble birth and childhood to adolescence and manhood; from private to public ministry and on to his death, resurrection, and ascension. The artwork celebrates his diverse life as son, father-brother, carpenter, boat designer and builder, tutor, translator, caravan conductor, teacher, healer, minister, and friend. No one knows what Jesus looked like, but these artists painted their soulful interpretations to spark our imagination of these scenes from the Master’s life. Our intent is to give you a visual communion with Jesus that complements the enthralling narrative. This impeccably designed book provides relevant and empowering spiritual insights, helping you navigate the challenging yet promising conditions of the 21st century. We live in an exciting era of unprecedented improvements in our material lives brought about by scientific, industrial, and social achievements. Yet despite all this progress, many souls feel lonely and displaced. We need God and have an innate thirst for spiritual answers because of that “still, small voice” that lives within us. Finding God by living the personal religion of Jesus satisfies that thirst. The search for the genuine Jesus continues to intrigue humanity. Since the Bible only records an estimated 50 days of his life, it follows that there is more to his story. You will find it here in this detailed history of the Master’s entire life, including the public ministry recorded in the Gospels. It provides a coherent and seamless biography of this magnificent personality who continues to shape spiritual progress in our world. The story of Jesus is one of the most enthralling chapters in human history. The closing passage of the Apostle John’s gospel speaks to a life larger than even the world itself. How fitting that the last words of his gospel should be the first words of this book: “But there are also many things which Jesus did; were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself would not contain the books that would be written.” In John’s day the Word was made flesh. In these days the Word is made book. The Untold Story of Jesus reveals the living Christ to members of the church that bears his name, as well as to worshipers of all world religions. It is sure to become a favorite volume for all who seek God. A Final Thought We pray that these stories, teachings, and paintings provide you with a new sense of faith, comfort, and purpose. And to you who may not believe in Jesus, we ask you to look again. Read the stories, enjoy the art, and get to know the man through new eyes. What the world needs now is unconditional love, unfailing compassion, and matchless goodwill. Even after two thousand years, Jesus’ teachings have not been practiced on a global scale. When that day comes, his inspired life will transform, transfigure, and rule this world. His message of personal faith in a loving heavenly Father coupled with unselfish service to one another is a clear and direct pathway to peace in this life and passage to the next. May you be blessed by the supreme adventure that follows! “Of all human knowledge, that which is of greatest value is to know the religious life of Jesus and how he lived it.” A talk with a witness in Bethsaida John Mark and Jesus spend the last Wednesday in the hills

Consciousness & Energy The Work of David Hawkins The Books of David Hawkins are incredible. The first one I feature is Truth vs Falsehood: How to Tell the Difference , which reveals a breakthrough in documenting a new era of human knowledge. Only in the last decade has a science of Truth emerged that, for the first time in human history, enables the discernment of truth from falsehood. Presented are discoveries of an enormous amount of crucial and significant information of great importance to mankind, along with calibrations of historical events, cultures, spiritual leaders, media, and more. A science of consciousness developed which revealed that degrees of truth reflect concordant calibratable levels of consciousness on a scale of 1 to 1,000. When this verifiable test of truth was applied to multiple aspects of society (movies, art, politics, music, sociology, religion, scientific theories, spirituality, philosophy, everyday Americana, and all the countries of the world), the results were startling. Truth and Reality, as the author states, have no secrets, and everything that exists now or in the past—even a thought—is identifiable and calibratable forever from the omnipresent field of Consciousness itself. The reader’s level of consciousness increases measurably as a consequence of exposure to this material, which is presented from a catalytic, powerful field of context and exposition. This practice relies on earthing science and grounding physics to explain how electrical charges from the earth can have positive effects on your body. This type of grounding therapy isn’t entirely the same as the technique that is used in mental health treatment." There is a movie that does a great job of explaining this phenomenon.
